"Shannon will be a NutriSystem model." This was the future career path my classmates bestowed on me during our junior high graduation ceremony. I considered it a compliment; after all, it takes a lot of willpower for a 15-year-old to drop 40 lbs. The battle of the bulge has continued ever since, growing more difficult with my 20s, 30s, a husband, a baby, another baby, a full-time job in Corporate America...
